Longthorne Shotguns

A British brand that we are proud to be main dealers for, Longthorne are made completely in the UK, using new technology and traditional skills to make a prestigious shotgun that is rivaled by very few. Mickley Hall is one of very few gun rooms/shooting grounds to be stocking Longthorne demonstrator guns for you to come and try out before you buy. This rare opportunity to shoot a Boxlock Longthorne on competition standard targets or if you are thinking of buying a Sidelock Longthorne for the game season on our 100 foot tower Mickley Hall Shooting School we will be happy to help.

Longthorne started in 2006 when James Stewart MD decided to start a new career path and went about redesigning the traditional shotgun. The company produces all its own parts including the barrels, actions and stocks in house. All the pins, springs, nuts and bolts are made in house, literally steel and wood goes into the factory, ‘magic happens’ and beautiful Longthorne shotguns come out to their customers.

The barrels are machined out of one piece of high specification steel to the length and bore ordered by the customer, the barrels along with the action are hand finished and have no soldered joints at all.

Longthorne is a true family business and with Directors James and Elaine Stewart overseeing the manufacturing with Chloe Stewart as Director of Creatives. Chloe started with the family firm in 2008 and is the brainchild behind the beautiful engraving that Longthorne produces, and if you are feeling like taking your own path and producing a one of a kind. Chloe will help you produce a one off and help you realise the gun of your wildest dreams, be that a unique scroll or a beloved pet, or picture, a movie scene, or even family members, Chloe will create the most fantastic engraving for you.

Box Lock Range

The box lock range is designed for the clay shooting scene, its action is tailored to shoot many rounds and produce very little felt recoil to allow the shooter to concentrate and not be fatigued due to over shooting. Comes in 30inch or 32inch barrels but the team can make any length to order, 3inch chambers and multi choked. You can also opt for the flat rib or a slightly raised rib option to give you better visual on the target.
